Louisville, Ky. – PDS Optical announced today it has partnered with Honor Flight Network, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to celebrating our nation’s veterans by inviting them to share in a day of honor at the memorials in Washington, D.C., at no cost to the Veteran.

In April, PDS Optical will sponsor the Lone Eagle Honor Flight trip. The Lone Eagle Honor Flight is a national program that helps ensure all eligible Veterans, regardless of their geographic location in the U.S., are able to participate in the unforgettable Honor Flight experience. The April Lone Eagle Honor Flight trip will be comprised of 25 Veterans and 25 “guardians” or volunteers who accompany the Veteran from their home to Washington, D.C. PDS Optical employees will serve as the guardians for this Lone Eagle Honor Flight.

Dedicated to providing high-quality prescription eyewear, primarily to Veterans through the Veterans Affairs (VA) healthcare system, PDS Optical is committed to serving our nation’s Veterans with pride, dignity, and exceptional service. Its mission to provide affordable, high-quality prescription eyewear that meets the needs of those who have served our country is at the very core of the company ethos.

Our leadership team works hard to ensure that every employee upholds these values in every pair of glasses we make,” said Army Veteran Sean Loosen, President and CEO of PDS Optical. “It is an honor and a privilege to partner with the Honor Flight Network and we look forward to giving back to our Veterans by participating in this commemorative initiative.

Since 2005, Honor Flight Network has transported more than 300,000 Veterans from all 50 states and Puerto Rico to our nation’s capital and continues to expand its network of more than 125 hubs across the country to serve even more Veterans and their families. In doing so, the Honor Flight Network and its partners deliver gratitude and appreciation for Veterans’ contributions to our freedoms, offering them an opportunity to meet other Veterans, remember the fallen, and share their stories and experiences.

The Honor Flight program fosters deep connections among veterans through the shared bond of serving our country and the exhilarating experience of visiting the national memorials,” said Meredith Rosenbeck, Honor Flight Network’s Chief Executive Officer. “We at the Honor Flight Network are pleased to be partnering with PDS Optical, an organization also focused on serving our nation’s Veterans, on the April Lone Eagle trip.

For the April Lone Eagle Honor Flight trip, Veterans will be flown from various cities across the U.S. including Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. and Louisville, Ky., where PDS Optical has physical offices and labs.
